To measure the scale of a die-cast model, you determine the ratio of the model's size to the real object's size. Die-cast scales are typically expressed as a ratio (e.g., 1:18, 1:43) or a fraction, where the first number represents the model and the second represents the real object. Here's how to measure or identify the scale:

1.Check the Packaging or Label: Most die-cast models have the scale printed on the box, base, or accompanying documentation (e.g., "1:24 scale").

2.Measure the Model and Real Object:

Measure a specific dimension of the die-cast model, such as its length (e.g., in inches or centimeters).

Find the same dimension of the real object (e.g., the actual car's length, often available in manufacturer specs or online).

Calculate the scale by dividing the model's dimension by the real object's dimension. For example:Model car length: 5 inches

Real car length: 180 inches

Scale = 5 ÷ 180 = 1:36 (or 1/36).

Compare to Common Scales: 

Die-cast models often come in standard scales like 1:18, 1:24, 1:32, 1:43, 1:64, or 1:87. If your calculated ratio is close to one of these, the model likely adheres to that standard scale.

Use a Reference Object: 

If you don’t know the real object’s dimensions, compare the die-cast to a known scale model or use a common feature (e.g., wheel size) to estimate.
